Details of the application
Simon, Margaret, Giles and Ross Edwards trading as S & M Edwards & Sons has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number WA/055/0011/005 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Lugg at Byton, between National Grid References SO 35950 63630 and SO 36160 63860.
The variation applied for is: to add the purposes of filling a reservoir for subsequent trickle irrigation and spray irrigation, with the associated abstraction period between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year. The volumes and rates on the licence will remain the same, with a total abstraction volume of 26,500 cubic metres a year across all purposes.
