I can confirm that the SIA does hold the information you have requested. The questions have been answered below.
2.1 Staff
Within our External Communications team we have 9 permanent members of staff who work across the following areas:
- strategic communications
- media relations/press office
- events
- online services - the SIA electronic licensing system, SIA webpages publications, social media and industry engagement public safety campaigns
The SIA has also just taken on another team member on a 1-year fixed-term contract only.
Our internal communications team is housed within our Strategy and Governance department and the SIA has one member of staff in this team who is an internal communications manager.
2.2 Spend
The SIA’s operational spend on communications in 2021/2022 was £295,087. The operational budget for this year is £236,000.
