This privacy notice explains how the SIA processes your personal data. In particular, it explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your data.

The SIA aims to comply with all applicable data protection laws when processing your personal information. These laws are in place to safeguard your personal information and include measures covering data security, your rights regarding your personal data, and the use and disclosure of your data.

  1. Updated the 'SIA privacy policy' document to reflect changes to our processes and to make some parts of the policy clearer.

  2. Updated the 'SIA privacy policy' document to: change references to "Her Majesty's Passport Office" and "Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs" to "HM Passport Office" and "HM Revenue and Customs"; remove the reference to our office being closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

  3. Updated the 'If you email us' section of our pivacy policy to reflect the fact that the Government Secure Intranet (GSI) has closed.
