How many foreign nationals or UK nationals within the last ten years (2014-2024) who were not resident in the UK for five years prior to applying for a licence, and who cannot complete a checkable five-year history, were granted a licence for the following sectors:

  • Door supervision
  • Security guarding
  • Public space surveillance (CCTV)
  • Close protection
  • Key holding
  • Cash and valuables in transit

How many foreign nationals or UK nationals within the last five years (2019-2024) who were not resident in the UK for five years prior to applying for a licence, and who cannot complete a checkable five-year history, were granted a licence for the following sectors:

I can confirm that the SIA does hold this information.

Question 1

Due to SIA system limitations, information pertaining to this request is only held for a period of 7 years. Therefore, the SIA can provide information between 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2023. We do not hold information pertaining to the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 as this is outside of the retention time frame.
