Use this form to submit requests for increases to your 16 to 18 traineeships contract values for the 2018 to 2019 funding year if you do not hold a 16 to 19 funding contract.

16 to 18 traineeships growth requests for adult providers only

Details

Providers can now submit requests for increases to 16 to 18 traineeships contract values for the 2018 to 2019 funding year.

As stated in the funding rules we will consider increasing your 16 to 18 traineeship contract value if funds are available and if:

311.1 you delivered at least 97% of your 16 to 18 traineeships contract in 2017 to 2018 if you have a 16 to 18 traineeships contract and an AEB block grant

311.2 you delivered at least 97% of your 16 to 18 traineeships contract in 2017 to 2018 and have delivered 97% of the standard national profile at the performance-management point if you have a 16 to 18 traineeships contract but do not have AEB block grant (such as, you have an AEB contract for service or do not have AEB funding)

311.3 we have agreed that you have an exceptional case if you do not meet the criteria in paragraphs 311.1 to 311.2

311.4 you have a good track record (see paragraph 256) including the accuracy of forecasts you have provided in the past (where applicable)

311.5 you can prove there is demand from learners and/or employers

311.6 you can prove you have the capacity, capability and quality assurance arrangements to deliver the growth requested

311.7 you are not under notice for failure of inspection or financial control

311.8 you are not under a notice to improve, additional conditions of funding or additional contractual obligations in relation to minimum quality standards for 19+ education and training

311.9 we are confident that awarding an increase to your funding allocation is a good use of public funds

311.10 your growth request is credible based on your delivery to date

311.11 we are satisfied that the value of any funds that you would subcontract will not cause you to breach our funding rules

Completed Growth Request forms must be sent to Provider.PerformanceManagement@Education.GOV.UK and territorial managers before 5.00pm on Friday 3 May.

Providers must submit a growth request to be considered for an increase.

Once growth bids have been assessed, if the value of bids we wish to support amounts to more than the budget available, we may not be able to fund the full value of growth requested in each bid.
