ESFA financial assurance: monitoring the funding rules

Sets out the details of the monitoring work for providing financial assurance for the apprenticeships, adult education budget including traineeships and advanced learner loans funding systems.

  1. We have updated the 2020 to 2021 known issues log because we have resolved issues 7 and 8 and added a new and resolved issue 9. Please review the new data and correct any errors as necessary. We have also updated the user guide and plan.

  2. A new known issues report for 2020 to 2021 has been added.

  3. We added a video to help users view and export data from the post-16 monitoring dashboard.

  4. We have published the post-16 monitoring reports: known issues 2020 to 2021.

  5. We have added the 'funding monitoring reports user guide' for 2020 to 2021.

  6. We have confirmed the dates on which we will publish the post-16 monitoring reports throughout the 2020 to 2021 academic year, we have also highlighted in the call out box the next scheduled publication date so providers know when to expect the reports

  7. We have updated the Monitoring the funding rules for 2020 to 2021 document to clarify that new submission reports and validation rules will be available from R02

We have produced a video to support users in viewing and exporting data from the post-16 monitoring dashboard.
