Details

Sexual assault, including rape is a punishable crime. Anyone can be a victim of sexual assault regardless of their gender, nationality, age or any other condition.

If you have been sexually assaulted or raped in Ecuador do seek help from the police, a hospital, school or the British Embassy. Anything you tell us will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Sexual assault can be a very traumatic experience, and even more difficult to deal with when it happens abroad. The British Embassy is able to assist victims of sexual assault.
