Severn Trent Water Limited: application made to abstract water

Severn Trent Water Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 18/54/21/0116 which authorises the abstraction of water from groundwater at National Grid References (NGR) SO 74 31 and SO 73 33.
The variation applied for is:
- To extend the existing permission (which expires 31 March 2015)
- To abstract an additional 366 Megalitres per year from this location for public water supply
The total annual abstraction quantity that is permitted in combination with licence serial number 18/54/21/0026 would be increased accordingly.
