Details

This scheme is now closed and relates to flooding which occurred during the winter 2013 to 2014.

The severe weather recovery scheme provides support to local authorities in England that incurred, or will incur recovery costs as a result of flooding caused by the east coast tidal surge on 5 and 6 December 2013 and/or severe weather up to 7 February 2014.

When launching the Winter 2013 to 2014 severe weather recovery report on 27 November 2014, the government announced it would be extending a range of flood recovery schemes covering flooding that occurred earlier in 2013 to 2014 in recognition of the hardship caused in other parts of England – including a third tranche of the severe weather recovery scheme.

Applications to the severe weather recovery scheme closed on 30 January 2015.
