Details of the application

Scraptoft Golf (Holdings) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Sence at Houghton on the Hill, Leicestershire at National Grid Reference SK 68485 02386.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 12 cubic metres an hour
  • 240 cubic metres a day
  • 25,000 cubic metres a year
  • At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 3.3 litres per second
  • between 01 October and 31 March inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
