Operational guidance for 2017 to 2018

Read the written ministerial statement for information on the schools revenue funding arrangements for 2017 to 2018. The ‘Schools revenue funding 2017 to 2018: operational guide’ provides detailed guidance to local authorities and schools.

Disapplication process

Local authorities use the ‘request to disapply regulations form’ to request a disapplication of the School and Early Years Finance (England) Regulations.

Dedicated schools grant (DSG) baselines and funding tables

The ‘2016 to 2017 Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) baselines and 2017 to 2018 funding tables’ set out local authority baselines, adjusted to reflect their recent spending patterns, and the level of funding received through the schools and high needs blocks in 2017 to 2018. The accompanying technical note helps users understand the tables.

Historic commitments

The ‘2017 to 2018 schools funding: historic commitments supplementary guidance for local authorities’ provides guidance to local authorities and schools forums on what can be funded centrally as an acceptable historic commitments under the regulations.
