This report examines the relationship between electricity use and the stated environmental beliefs of the household, and the characteristics of high- and low- use households. It assesses the electricity use by pensioners, and estimates the likely change in residential electricity demand as demographics change. Finally, it considers the cost-benefits of a rebate scheme for inefficient appliances.
