Details
Works are being undertaken to replace and repair sluices and hydraulics on the gates at Sandford Lock. During this period the lock will be closed. There will be no up or downstream navigation.
There will be no navigation through Sandford Lock during this period.
You should keep to a safe speed and be aware of other boats near the works, and navigating in the upstream and downstream areas.
You must follow any instructions given from Environment Agency lock keepers, dive crew and safety boat skippers in the vicinity of the works.
You are responsible for avoiding collisions. You should use all available means appropriate to the situation to avoid risk.
Temporary mooring is still available at the head of the lock. This can be used free of charge during the duration of the works but should not cause hazard to the safe use of the navigation.
All directions as to the left and right side of the river are given looking upstream.
