The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010. This application is part of the statutory review of permits in the Metals Sector following the publication of the steelmaking BAT conclusions on 8th March 2012. The application involves varying the existing permit for Tata’s site in Rotherham to include an existing metals recovery activity as a waste facility within that existing permit.
