Ryall House Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from Ripple Lake, Ripple, Worcester at National Grid Reference (NGR) SO 86877 36713 to transfer it to the River Severn at NGR SO 86740 36877 without intervening use. The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 150 cubic metres an hour
- 2000 cubic metres a day
- 50,000 cubic metres a year
- between March and October inclusive in each year.
The water will be used to augment the river for subsequent spray irrigation as licensed under existing licence 18/54/08/0554/R01.
