Details of the application

Rumwood Green Farm Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Medway catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • at an instantaneous rate of 20 litres per second
  • 72 cubic metres an hour
  • 1,728 cubic metres a day
  • 42,181 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 March and 30 November inclusive in each year.
  • within area bounded by National Grid References (NGRs) TQ 78151 51491, TQ 78196 51464, TQ 78179 51439 and TQ 78139 51467
  • from abstraction location Parkwood Farm

The water will be used for Trickle Irrigation - Direct.
