The government has published a consultation seeking views on how the right to time off work for public duties operates in practice.
The Regulatory Policy Committee (RPC) gave a ‘green’ rating to the options assessment supporting the consultation. This means that we considered it to be ‘fit for purpose’ based on our scrutiny of the evidence and analysis supporting the case for why regulation is necessary.
Our rating is advisory and does not reflect the merits of the policy itself.
