An application has been made to the Environment Agency by Royal Automobile Club. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata (Chalk) at Woodcote Park, Epsom (TQ 2017 5781 and TQ 2097 5824).

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 6 cubic metres an hour
  • 144 cubic metres a day
  • 44,800 cubic metres a year

All year.

The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.

A copy of the application, map, plan and any other document submitted with it may be inspected free of charge at the address of the Environment Agency office at:
