Between the 1 January and 31 December 2012:

  • the minimum processing time was 4 days
  • the maximum processing time was 392 days
  • the median processing time was 161 days
  • the average processing time was 162 days

  2. Figures relate to main applicants only.
  3. Figures relate to postal applications only.
  4. Figures relate to BR2 applications dispatched between 1 January and 31 December 2012.
  5. Processing time based on number of calendar days from application raised (received) to decision despatch date. Figures relate to completed applications only.
  6. Although the figure for maximum processing time looks high, our published service standard is 6 months from date of receipt of application. The case taking 392 days was an exception; the others show that our average turnaround time is within service standard.
