Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with a valid ID or passport.
Additional information
All TB pre-screening appointments are handled exclusively through our dedicated email address, ukvisas@medsana.ro, and managed by a dedicated co-ordinator.
Please wait for written confirmation and detailed instructions before travelling to the clinic.
Minors and legal guardianship
In strict compliance with Romanian legislation regarding the protection of minors, all minors under 18 years old must be accompanied during the entire examination by a parent or an officially designated legal guardian.
The accompanying parent or legal guardian must present:
- an original, valid passport or national identity card
- documentation proving guardianship, for example:
- child’s birth certificate
- court decision or legal authorisation, where applicable
Pregnant applicants
In Romania, for safety reasons and in line with UK Home Office TB pre-screening protocols, pregnant applicants are not allowed to undergo standard chest x-ray examinations.
Pregnant applicants will be offered alternative diagnostic pathways as mandated by the UK Home Office instructions, such as sputum testing or postponed radiological screening until after delivery, following a detailed clinical assessment with our panel physician.
