Roger Catchpole and John Catchpole trading as Stowlangtoft Estate have applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Black Bourn River at Stowlangtoft, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk between National Grid References TL 94997 67199 and TL 95071 67082.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 72 cubic metres an hour
- 1,728 cubic metres a day
- 91,000 cubic metres a year
- Between November and March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used to fill a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation.
