Robert Haigh and Graham Haigh trading as G Haigh and Son has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Frickley Beck, Doncaster, Yorkshire between National Grid References SE 50279 10644 and SE 50318 10586.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 61 cubic metres an hour
- 900 cubic metres a day
- 24,000 cubic metres a year
- at an instantaneous rate of 16.7 litres per second
- between April and October inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation. The proposed abstraction lies within the Don and Rother Abstraction Licensing Strategy reporting area.
