RM13 9BJ, VEOLIA ES LANDFILL LIMITED: environmental permit application advertisement - EPR/EP3136GK/V013
Published 8 January 2026
Applies to England
Details of the application
The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from VEOLIA ES LANDFILL LIMITED.
Application number
EPR/EP3136GK/V013
Regulated facility type
The facility is predominantly a landfill with associated installation and waste activities. This application is to add a new Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) activity to the area of the site where composting and wood processing activities currently take place. This is in a separate area to the landfill. The RDF waste will be received wrapped and baled on site for storage only before being transferred to an appropriately regulated site, or sent abroad for use as fuel. The current annual throughput of 150,000 tonnes per annum of the area where this activity along with composting and wood processing will be undertaken is not increasing volumes of waste stored onsite at any one time and will be managed through the Fire Prevention Plan to allow flexibility of supply and demand with seasonal variations between the Compost, wood and RDF wastes.
