Details of the application

Riverside Energy Park Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to abstract water from Blackheath Member and River Terrace Deposits within the boundary formed by straight lines running between the following National Grid References (NGRs) TQ 49416 80774, TQ 49574 80748, TQ 49363 80570 and TQ 49607 80556 to transfer it to The River Thames at NGRs TQ 49579 80771 and TQ 49670 80879 without intervening use.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 2,822 cubic metres an hour

  • 67,728 cubic metres a day

  • 24,720,720 cubic metres a year

  • 784 litres per second.

Abstraction will take place all year.
