The evaluation of RISE targeted intervention assesses what is working well and what could be improved in RISE delivery to support school improvement. The process evaluation started in April 2025 and will continue until autumn 2027.

Interim report 2

This report provides an update and presents findings from a second wave of interviews held in December 2025, January and February 2026.

Participants included these groups from the summer and autumn 2025 cohort:

  • headteachers
  • responsible bodies
  • RISE advisers
  • supporting organisations

It includes views on:

  • the suitability of matches
  • the support being agreed
  • confidence to support school improvement
  • evidence of early outcomes

Interim report 1

This report is based on a first wave of interviews held in June, July and September 2025 with those from the summer 2025 cohort.
