Richard Kendall has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from Semington Brook at Littleton, near Semington, Trowbridge at National Grid Reference (NGR) ST 91264 60673.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 1,523 cubic metres an hour
  • 36,547 cubic metres a day
  • 8,040,384 cubic metres a year

The water will be used for hydro-electric power generation before returning all the water to Semington Brook at NGR ST 91239 60670.
