Richard Dove trading as R H Dove Farms has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the Pocklington Beck, the Missick Beck and the Bielby Beck at Routh Lodge, Pocklington, York between National Grid References SE 79973 46865 and SE 79843 44825 and between National Grid References SE 80289 45338 and SE 81002 45205.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 100 cubic metres an hour
- 1,000 cubic metres a day
- 15,000 cubic metres a year
Between April and November inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation.
Further details are: the proposed abstraction lies within the Derwent Catchment Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
