The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from R. Collard Limited.

Regulated facility type

The variation is to turn the existing household commercial and industrial waste transfer station with physical treatment of non hazardous waste into a hazardous waste transfer station with physical treatment of non-hazardous waste with a clinical waste transfer station. This will be done by the addition of hazardous waste codes as well as multiple clinical waste codes to the permit. The variation also seeks to increase the annual throughput from 75,000 tonnes per annum to 150,000 tonnes per annum and increase the permitted area.
