Response to an inspection of the Intelligence Management System

Immigration Enforcement responds to the report by John Vine on an inspection of the database used for recording, processing and managing information about immigration or customs offences.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The Independent Chief Inspector of Borders and Immigration made 4 recommendations on IMS; the Home Office accepted all of these in full. This response acknowledges that there is work already underway to address the points raised. All proposed changes will be implemented during this financial year.
