Regulation of the use of unbound pulverised fuel ash and furnace bottom ash

If you comply with the requirements in this regulatory position statement (RPS) you can use unbound pulverised fuel ash (PFA) and furnace bottom ash (FBA) in specified circumstances without the need for an environmental permit.

This publication was withdrawn on

We have withdrawn this RPS because the amount of pulverised fuel ash and furnace bottom ash produced by burning coal in power stations has reduced. Therefore the RPS is no longer needed.
