Registration of electric cycles made in China (Anti-Dumping Duty 2270)

The Commission announced in Implementing Regulation 2018/671 Official Journal reference L113 that electric cycles with pedal assistance and an auxiliary electric motor, made in the People’s Republic of China have to be registered for nine months.

This regulation comes into effect from 4 May 2018.

The products currently fall within commodity codes:

  • 8711 6010 00
  • 8711 6090 10

The Regulation gives details of how you can make your views known or request a hearing.

At the end of the registration, Anti-Dumping Duty may be applied retrospectively to imports, from the start of the registration period until provisional or definitive Anti-Dumping or countervailing duties are imposed.
