As per guidance on Non-Executive Board Member interests, interests that are judged by the department to be relevant to an individual’s role are in scope for publication. An individual may have other interests and while the department is aware of these, they are judged to be not relevant to the individuals’ role and therefore not in scope for publication. All relevant interests are managed by the department to prevent the risk of conflicts arising.

  • The Cabinet Office and the Cabinet Secretary have agreed that he will recuse himself from the Cabinet Office’s response to the Covid inquiry as a corporate entity.
  • The Cabinet Secretary has previously recused himself from aspects related to Infected Blood issues and this remains the case in his current role.
