The Regional Growth Fund (RGF), now closed, was aimed at promoting private sector led growth throughout England.
This assessment of its economic impact brings together evidence from:
- an econometric analysis of business performance
- surveys of business beneficiaries and unsuccessful applicants
- case studies of selected large-scale, area-based programmes
