R. W. Blackhurst has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from un-named drains within the Middle Level System at Ramsey and Bury, Cambridgeshire at National Grid References TL 25711 86976 to TL 26334 86788 and TL 29653 83437 to TL 30889 84195.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 15 litres per second
  • 54 cubic metres an hour
  • 540 cubic metres a day
  • 50,000 cubic metres a year
  • between 01 April and 31 October inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.
