Details of the application
R.& J.M.Place Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from a drain adjacent to the River Ant at National Grid Reference TG 36561 18495.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 200 cubic metres an hour
- 3,000 cubic metres a day
- 240,000 cubic metres a year
- At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 60 litres per second
- between 1 November and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for filling a reservoir for subsequent spray and trickle irrigation.
