An application has been made to the Environment Agency by R and P Johnson. The Environment Agency are required to give notice of this application.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Waveney at National Grid Reference (NGR) TM 17048 78272.

The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates and periods:

  • 32 cubic metres per hour
  • 337 cubic metres a day
  • 13,500 cubic metres a year

Between March and October inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation. The abstraction will be subject to a minimum required flow being passed before abstraction can take place. The licence will also be aggregated to existing licence number 7/34/17/*S/0053, so that there will be no overall increase in licensed quantities or rates of abstraction.
