Pure Leisure Group Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from River Nene at Billing, Northampton at National Grid References SP 79810 60645, SP 80101 60707 and SP 80272 60707 to transfer it to lakes at Billing Aquadrome for through flow without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water through gravity flow through three closed pipes of internal diameter not exceeding 200 millimetres allowing an estimated combined maximum flow of 27 litres per second. Abstraction will take place all year.
