This research updates the data collected in the 2012 report ‘Pupils not claiming free school meals’.
This new report uses tax credits and benefits data from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) for December 2012 along with statistics from the Department for Education’s school census for January 2013.
The report outlines the data used, how the statistics vary from the previous year and provides a table outlining registration rates at local authority level.
