Details

Public Health England has updated the Public Health Skills and Knowledge Framework (PHSKF) to include where we are with the development of a digital tool and resources that show how the framework can be used.

The framework is accompanied by a user guide explaining how it can be used by individuals, employers and educational providers working in public health.

Individuals and organisations can share their experience of applying the framework by emailing sp-phskf@phe.gov.uk.

The PHSKF was first published as the Public Health Skills and Careers Framework in 2008. It has been reviewed and redesigned in collaboration between lead agencies across the UK including Public Health England, Public Health Wales, NHS Scotland and the Public Health Agency of Northern Ireland. The review and development process included extensive consultation and engagement with the public health workforce. Read the review of the PHSKF.
