Details of the proposal
The Environment Agency is proposing to revoke (cancel) the abstraction licence numbers in the list below.
The Environment Agency is required to give notice of this proposal. The Environment Agency give this notice under section 52 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and regulation 31 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
Licence number 28/39/10/0130 allows the Licence Holder G Thorley, Charlton Manor, Ashley Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL52 6NS to abstract a total of 32,059 cubic metres a year at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 177 193.
Licence number 28/39/21/0011 allows the Licence Holder Englefield Estate Trust Corp Ltd, Englefield Estate Office, Englefield Road, Theale, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 5DU to abstract a total of 2,054 cubic metres a year, between NGRs SU 626 713 and SU 626 715.
Licence number 28/39/21/0012 allows the Licence Holder Englefield Estate Trust Corp Ltd to abstract a total of 4,110 cubic metres a year, between NGRs SU 644 720 – SU 642 727, SU 643 723 – SU 641 721 and SU 643 722 – SU 643 724.
Licence number 28/39/21/0073 allows the Licence Holder Englefield Estate Trust Corp Ltd to abstract a total of 45,461 cubic metres a year, at NGRs SU 605 707 and SU 608 711.
Licence number 28/39/22/0109 allows the Licence Holder Englefield Estate Trust Corp Ltd to abstract a total of 12,330 cubic metres a year, between NGRs SU 627 693 and SU 634 700.
Licence number 28/39/22/0110 allows the Licence Holder Englefield Estate Trust Corp Ltd to abstract a total of 22,730 cubic metres a year, at NGR SU 612 672.
Licence number 28/39/22/0465 allows the Licence Holder John Gale Limited, Church Farm, Mildenhall, Marlborough, Wiltshire, SN8 2LU to abstract a total of 17,729 cubic metres a year, at NGR SU 214 696.
Licence number 28/39/26/0090 allows the Licence Holder John Lewis Properties Limited, 171 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 5NN to abstract a total of 1,818 cubic metres a year, at NGR SU 901 853.
The proposal is to revoke (cancel) the licences listed above.
The Environment Agency has made this proposal as part of a programme to help restore sustainable abstraction and to conserve, and secure the proper use of, water resources.
