Detail

Property data survey programme

The property data survey programme (PDSP) was set up to provide up-to-date and accurate information on the condition of schools.

The programme:

  • carried out surveys on those schools where local authorities did not have up-to-date information (this part of the programme began in September 2012 and ended in November 2013)

  • carried out surveys on the remaining 814 academies (this process began in November 2013 and ends in January 2014)

  • carried out surveys on those schools where information had been gathered by local authorities (this work will be completed by August 2014)

The programme also set up an asset management software (AMS) system. This database enables ministers and officials to understand and analyse the information that has been collected.

The detailed information collected for the programme will be used to inform funding allocations for schools.

For further information please see the property data survey programme manual parts 1 to 3, which are available on this page.
