The Marking of Retail Goods Regulations 2025 confer a power on the Secretary of State to issue a notice. This will require operators to individually mark specified products as ‘not for EU’ before they can be sold to consumers in Great Britain.

This policy paper explains the decision-making process that should be undertaken by the Secretary of State.
