As DWP Disability Champion for the Insurance Industry and Profession I pledge to bring together my regulator, the DWP, Insurers, distributors, professional and trade bodies, consumer groups, disability and health charities to improve access to insurance products and services plus signposting to specialists for all. In addition I pledge to improve access to careers in my industry and profession for those with disabilities seen and/or unseen.

Timeframe and/or implementation plan (75 words limit)

My mission has been under way for 12 months with my regulator and a number insurers already taking steps towards delivering on my pledge. I’m seeking a step change in accessibility and signposting by June 30th 2019.

As an advocate of the UN #HeForShe programme and advisory board member of the Chartered Insurance Institute Insuring Women’s Futures Programme see www.insuringwomensfutures.co,uk I pledge to make the insurance products and service of today and tomorrow more accessible to and work better for all women; ensure my industry and profession is a great career destination for women to enter, rejoin and maximise their potential.
