Details

This guide explains the PRI for buses and minibuses for operators.

There is currently no approval process to check the constructional features of these kinds of vehicles ahead of their licensing and registration by the DVLA.

PRI checks on buses and minibuses are carried out when the vehicle is intended for use as a passenger carrying vehicle, and where the vehicle does not otherwise need a Certificate of Initial Fitness (COIF) or a form of European Approval.
