Privacy Notice for Cross-government Fast Stream Environment Network

This notice sets out how we will use your personal data, and your rights. It is made under Articles 13 and/or 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Your Data

1.1 Purpose

The purpose for which we are processing your personal data is to establish and run a staff network: the Fast Stream Environment Network (FSEN). FSEN is a voluntary cross-departmental network of Fast Stream and Civil Service staff interested in improving the environment.

We will use your data to maintain a list of members, to send out newsletters and to invite you to events.

1.2 The data

We will process the following personal data: name, work email, and department.

The legal basis for processing your personal data is because you consent to us doing so.

1.4 Recipients

Your personal data will be shared by us with the FSEN committee members.

As your personal data will be stored on our IT infrastructure it will also be shared with our data processors who provide email, and document management and storage services.

It will also be shared with our IT suppliers who provide events management and mailing list management services.

1.5 Retention

Your personal data will be kept by us for as long as you wish to be a member and to receive communications from us.

2. Your rights

You have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data at any time.

You have the right to request information about how your personal data are processed, and to request a copy of that personal data.

You have the right to request that any inaccuracies in your personal data are rectified without delay.

You have the right to request that any incomplete personal data are completed, including by means of a supplementary statement.

You have the right to request that your personal data are erased if there is no longer a justification for them to be processed.

You have the right in certain circumstances (for example, where accuracy is contested) to request that the processing of your personal data is restricted.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where it is processed for direct marketing purposes.

You have the right to request a copy of any personal data you have provided, and for this to be provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

3. International transfers

As your personal data is stored on our IT infrastructure, and shared with our data processors, it may be transferred and stored securely outside the European Union. Where that is the case it will be subject to equivalent legal protection through the use of Model Contract Clauses.

As your personal data is shared with our IT suppliers who provide events management and mailing list management services, it may be transferred and stored securely outside the European Union. Where that is the case it will be subject to equivalent legal protection through the suppliers’ membership of the Privacy Shield scheme.

5. Complaints
