How does the Home Office use the data that you provide?

This survey is part of a wider consultation with local authorities and non-governmental organisations to invite views on the future design of a long term, sustainable approach for asylum dispersal. Your feedback will help to inform the build of a sustainable and flexible end-to-end asylum accommodation system.

This survey asks questions about your current asylum support services, and your views on current asylum dispersal and future changes to the process.

The survey contains some open-ended questions. When providing free text answers, please do not disclose any information that may identify you (e.g. names, email addresses etc.).

Where you have provided anonymous data, we will not be able to identify your responses. Therefore, you will not be able to:

  • request access to your data
  • withdraw your consent
  • object to, or restrict, the processing of data
  • rectify the data held

The data that you provide will not be shared with any third parties outside of the Home Office. Anonymised reports/findings may be shared with other government departments and strategic migration partners.

The processing of data from the surveys is based upon consent from the participant. Participation in this survey is voluntary, and you are free to decide not to take part if you do not want to.

Will you have to provide contact details?

You do not need to provide contact details to complete the survey.

You will only be asked to provide your contact details if you wish to be contacted to discuss specific topics outlined in the survey. It is up to you whether you choose to opt into this.

Please note that if you choose to provide contact details, your details will not be disclosed, and your responses will be reported anonymously.

If you choose to provide contact details, you will be asked to provide your name, email address and telephone number so that you can be contacted to discuss specific topics outlined in the survey.
