Details

The Coal Authority can provide a broad range of pre-application planning and technical advice when applications for planning permission or for the discharge of planning conditions related to coal mining features are being contemplated.

Where an application is already being processed, our advice may be able to assist in resolving problematic issues relating to coal mining features which can cause the determination process to stall.

This document contains guidance notes and the terms and conditions of the service.

Unfortunately, due to staff resourcing issues, our non-statutory pre-application advice service is currently postponed and we are not able to assist with new enquiries at this time.

Please revisit this website for updates regarding the status of the service.
