The analysis shows the earnings outcomes of learners that achieved level 3 qualifications (A level and equivalent qualifications) in the academic year 2010 to 2011 in England. The report links subject level achievement to observed earnings in the 2016 to 2017 tax year using the Longitudinal Education Outcomes (LEO) study.
The LEO study looks at how learners move through education and into the labour market by bringing together:
- schools, further and higher education information from the Department for Education
- employment information from HM Revenue and Customs
- benefit histories from the Department of Work and Pensions
