Details

The Police Performance Framework will improve public trust and confidence in the police by delivering an accountable police service which is more effective at reducing crime and protecting the public.

The framework will :

  • provide a clear set of enduring expectations for policing
  • support analysis of performance across the breadth of crime and policing activity
  • support the identification of emerging performance issues
  • drive improvement in performance at a local and national level
  • identify and promote good, promising or innovative practice

The framework supports the delivery of the Home Secretary’s priorities, incorporating the new policing guarantees and aspects of the Safer Streets Mission related to neighbourhood policing, halving knife crime and violence against women and girls.

Alongside this framework we are publishing the white paper ‘From local to national: a new model for policing’.

We are aware that this publication may have accessibility issues. We are creating an accessible version.
