This guidance is to help those who intend to make an application for development consent under the Planning Act.

A public consultation was launched in April 2012 for the Light Touch Review of the 6 guidance documents underpinning the Planning Act 2008. The application form guidance has been refreshed to bring it into line with the Localism Act 2011 and it has been made more precise and concise in the process.
